Bachelor thesis is dealing with topic of political extremism in Czech Republic. It is divided into three parts. . First part deals with basic concepts such as extremism, radicalism and totalitarianism. It also describes concepts of right and left. Second part deals with far-left ideologies such as communisms and anarchism. It describes their history and ideology. It also describes situation in modern Czech history after 1989. The topic of third part is far right ideologies, including Nazism, fascism, neo-Nazism and neo-fascism.

Right-wing extremism in Brandenburg 1990-2010

The bachelor thesis and one case study "Right wing extremism in Brandenburg 1990 − 2010" discusses the different forms of right wing extremism in the federal state Brandenburg in the timeframe of twenty years after the German reunification. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the development of this phenomenon in Brandenburg in all its forms, reaching from right-wing extremist mindsets over political parties, to groupings and the commission of crimes. But also the persecution of right-wing extremism through the measures taken by the government of Brandenburg and the civil society by the Brandenburg political officials as well as the civil society is handled in the thesis. The author is dealing with the reasons for the spreading of right-wing extremism, points out the interconnection between its constituent forms and verifies the officially declared "stagnating to declining" tendency of right-wing extremist display in Brandenburg. Several conclusions are drawn. The scene is much interconnected despite its heterogeneity, especially with the National Democratic Party NPD. The most immediate danger is posed by right-wing extremist motivated violence, justified by the ideology of the culprits and ranging from threats to murder. Neonazism in Late Socialist Czechoslovakia

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map the presence of pro-fascist movements, pro- fascist ideas and their manifestations in Czechoslovakia during the second decade of the period of normalization. The basic task of the thesis aims to discover whether the followers of Nazi and fascist values existed in Czechoslovakia in the eighties, what was the profile of the people involved, what was the main motive of inspiration in the neo-Nazi themes, whether these motives represented a symbolic protest against the establishment or carried a projection of a fascist / neo-Nazi social change, furthermore where this inspiration came from (whether the transfer of ideas from the west occurred). The thesis will therefore analyse the social profile of individuals and groups tending to neo-Nazism, their social origin, motivation for neo-Nazi activities and beliefs, and the relationship between governance structure and other social classes of the Czech and Slovak society. This research aims to contribute to a better understanding of the character of the normalisation period and the opposing groups. The general term of passive oppressed people doesn't apply to the supporters of the neo-Nazi ideology, nor would you describe them as the heroic warriors against the regime. Workers party (of social justice)

This thesis deals with the development and position of the far-right Workers Party (DS) and the Workers Party of Social Justice (DSSS) in the political system of the Czech Republic. The work also includes a theoretical part, dealing with different views on extremism and radicalism. Also discussed is the position of the far-right parties in Central and Western Europe. The main goal is to capture the roots of the Workers 'Party, but also action and ideological bases its successor the Workers Party of Social Justice. Emphasis is placed on the presentation of the party and demonstrations. They are namely the main way to reach supporters. The thesis also analyzes the election results of DS (DSSS) and try to include the party in the Czech party system according to the theory of Giovanni Sartori. There is also a description of the organizational structure of the party and its affiliated organizations. The last chapter discusses the symbolism and iconography of the party.

The Influence of Asylum Discussion on Attacks against Immigrants in Federal Republic Germany in the Years 1992 - 1993: Cases Mölln und Solingen

The wave of attacks against national minorities in the Federal Republic of Germany in the first years after The German reunification in 1990 became on the background of asylum debate discussing the necessary change of asylum right and influx of asylum seekers a burning problem. The culmination of moods against migrants was the attack in Mölln in November 1992, where were 3 persons of Turkish origin killed. The amendment of law was passed in German Bundestag on 26th May 1993 and came into force on 1st July 1993. However the approved restriction of gaining the asylum didn't discourage the right-wing extremists and before coming into force they committed one of the most terrific arson attacks in Solingen on 29th Mai 1993, which entered in the German post- war history as the one with the most victims at all. The thesis compares these two attacks on the basis of propositions from Karapin's study ,,Antiminority Riots in Unified Germany: Cultural Conflicts und Mischanneled Political Participation'' in order to determine possible causes or preconditions for the emergence of attacks. The Pheonomenon of Contemporary Antifascism in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis deals with contemporary antifascism in the Czech republic and put it in whole historical context. It moves from general and historical determination of notions to concrete description of contemporary situation in the Czech republic. The final outcome is a description of contemporary czech antifascism, which is accentuated on Antifascist action, which became monopolistic on czech radical antifascist scene. In regard of a lack of higher volume of literature oriented on this topic, thesis uses also web sources and interview with members of Antifascist action, which is on enclosed CD-ROM phoneticly and qualitatively modified in the interest of interviewed. Thesis should serve as a supplement for a general analysis of so-called "political extremism" and as a "regulator" of wrong information mentioned by massmedia.

The Elements Influencing the Degree of the Right-Wing Extremism in the Czech Republic after 1989

Diploma thesis "The Elements Influencing the Degree of the Right-Wing Extremism in the Czech Republic after 1989" deals both with the general right-wing extremism, with its historical development and his particular ideologies, and concretely with the situation in the Czech Republic after the Velvet Revolution and with his reasons, as well, and with it related solutions, how the right-wing extremism utmost to eliminate. It is interesting and edifying to get knowledge of, how in the period of modernizing, also especially in the nineteenth century, the western society commuted itself and what impacts this epoch had upon the human thinking and self-awaking. What trains of thought this emancipation ended in and what influence this all had upon the world history. Starting with the nationalism, that had been the cause of the fascism and consequently of the Nazism, and ending with the neofascism and neo-Nazism. After the year 1989 all these phenomenons had naturally marked impact upon the formation of the modern Czech extreme right, as well. Of course, the mentioned phenomenons are not coming just by themselves. They are always, more or less, conditioned on something. Discourse Analysis of Political Attitudes of the Czech President Miloš Zeman and far-right political parties

The key research question of my diploma thesis deals with the problem of whether the President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman creates the same discourse as far-right political parties in the Czech Republic. The research concerns the social discourse surrounding the current migration crisis facing Europe. In this connection, there is a discourse analysis of the themes of migration, Islam, terrorism, external and internal actors. This research is conducted on the basis of the theory of binaries from Teun Van Dijk, which can be applied to a populist political style characterized by President Zeman and extreme right-wing political parties, among which are analyzed the Workers' Party of Social Justice, National Democracy, Dawn - the National Coalition, Freedom And Direct Democracy - Tomio Okamura and the Citizens' Rights Party. Research data is collected from President Zeman's official communications channels and political parties, including official websites and social networks. Based on a discourse analysis of their political views, it is possible to compare President Zeman and the extreme right-wing parties to each topic and to conclude whether they speak the same or differently about these themes.

Comparison of political and cultural activities of the extreme right in the Czech Republic and Germany during 90's in the 20th century

Master thesis "The comparison of political and cultural activities of the extreme right in the Czech Republic and Germany during 90's in the 20th century" is firstly defining the terms related to study of the extreme right. Secondly, the thesis is analyzing success of German and Czech extreme right wing parties in the elections, then establishing and forms of membership in the extreme right organizations, making demonstrations, protest events and violent acts with extreme right context which are organized by supporters of the extreme right thoughts. Thirdly, the thesis is focusing on cultural activities, such as live music events with extreme right music artists, with outlining the lyrics of these Czech and German artists. Finally, comparative analysis is describing the form and frequency of all political and cultural activities. Conclusion of the thesis is that forms of the extreme right in the Czech Republic and Germany in the 90's were very similar, however in Germany these activities were more regular and more brutal.
